Lyrans: an introduction to the stories
Lyran stories place an early humanoid ancestry near the idea of Lyra and describe its descendants spreading into different communities. The place-name works as a cultural anchor in the narrative; it does not.
Lyran stories place an early humanoid ancestry near the idea of Lyra and describe its descendants spreading into different communities. The place-name works as a cultural anchor in the narrative; it does not identify a discovered inhabited planet. Lyra is a constellation, and its stars are not one compact physical system.
The diaspora motif gives the story its shape: departure, separation, adaptation and renewed relationships. Feline humanoids are a later visual motif in some retellings and should not be silently attributed to every author who discusses Lyran ancestry.
The archive compares story traditions rather than constructing one definitive canon. Record the author, session or publication date before combining a claim with material from another source. A repeated idea can spread through copying instead of independent agreement.
Start with the distinction between observation and interpretation. A person can describe an experience sincerely while its cause remains unsettled. Channelled accounts introduce another layer: they are communications claimed by their practitioners, not independently authenticated transmissions.
